Beverly Hills-based Giant Group Ltd. completed the previously announced sale of all of the issued and outstanding stock of Golden State Newsprint Co. and Pacific Recycling Co. to Smurfit International Inc. . . . Bridgewater, N.J.-based National Starch & Chemical Co. has completed the acquisition of the flexible laminating adhesives business of Los Angeles-based Whittaker Corp.’s Dayton division. Terms were not disclosed.
