Arden Group Inc.: The parent of 13 Gelson’s and Mayfair supermarkets in Southern California posted net income in the first quarter of 1990 of $2.8 million, up 12% from the same period of 1989. Revenue was $82.8 million, down 3%. The Los Angeles-based firm said last year’s revenue included sales from two stores in San Diego that it no longer owns.
