Reelection of Rep. Gallegly Urged
As a 16-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department, I know how important my congressman is at providing law enforcement with the tools and funds necessary to do our job. Rep. Elton Gallegly has consistently led the fight in Congress for these tools.
The recently reported riff between Gallegly and the union representatives of the FBI special agents is just a simple union versus management upset. After all, the FBI agents appeared in Gallegly’s office on “their own time” to lobby for a pay raise. Because my congressman questioned their appearance and correctly questioned if their visit was officially sanctioned, somehow these events are being negatively reported.
Clearly, these reports are nothing more than a very thinly veiled attempt to cast Gallegly in the worst possible light, a union tactic we have all seen before. I, for one, do not think that these events are just a coincidence.
I urge my fellow voters in the 21st District to reelect Rep. Elton Gallegly, an ardent supporter for all law enforcement, including the entire FBI, not just the union representing the special agents.
