Tyrone Phillips of Los Angeles, a freshman on the Marshall University basketball team, was charged with misdemeanor assault of a female student in Huntington, W.Va.

The arrest of Phillips, 18, is another in a series of incidents that led earlier this week to the school’s Judicial Board suspending players Maurice Sanders, Anthony Beagle and Jeff Sonhouse for one year.

A warrant obtained Monday by Rebecca Jude, a student residing off campus, alleged that Phillips shoved her when he was asked to leave after arriving at a party in her apartment.
