Trio-Tech Posts Loss for Third Quarter

Trio-Tech International, a San Fernando company that makes semiconductor testing equipment, reported a net loss of $558,000 in the fiscal third quarter ended March 30, on a 9% decline in sales to $3.39 million. A year earlier, Trio-Tech lost $748,000 on $3.73 million in sales.

For the nine months that ended March 30, Trio-Tech lost $1.26 million, compared to a $907,000 loss in the year-earlier period. Sales fell 11% to $11.26 million from $12.71 million.
