HAL Inc.: The Honolulu parent of Hawaiian Airlines said losses for the first quarter widened to $16.2 million from $8.8 million for the same period last year. HAL reported revenue of $81.1 million for the three-month period, compared to $83.7 million a year ago. Management noted that the first-quarter loss was significantly less than $34.2-million loss for the fourth quarter of 1989.
