La Jolla Townhouse Project Opens

Italian-style exteriors with an Old World ambience are featured at Casabella at Renaissance-La Jolla, a 108-unit luxury townhouse development opening today in San Diego’s Golden Triangle area.

The first phase of the gate-guarded project by Davidson Communities features eight three- and four-bedroom two-story units with 2,614 to 2,917 square feet, priced from $432,900 to $498,900.

Move-ins are expected in July, and the monthly association fee of $170 provides for common-area maintenance, including a pool, spa and cabana area. Designed by the San Diego architectural firm of Lorimer-Case, Casabella townhouses have master-bedroom fireplaces, double walk-in closets, balconies, skylights and attached two-car garages.

Renaissance-La Jolla, developed by McKellar Development and Ahmanson Developments Inc., will feature 2,300 dwelling units on 114 acres at buildout.

Three furnished models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 5402 Renaissance Ave., reached from the La Jolla Village Drive exit of either Interstate 15 (eastbound) or Interstate 805 (westbound).

Homes in Sepulveda

New England-style exteriors combining wood and stucco are featured in Summerhill Homes, a 16-unit project by Saddletree Development Co. opening today in Sepulveda.

The three- and four-bedroom single-family detached units and townhouses are available in three two-story floor plans with 1,708 to 2,197 square feet, priced from $229,900 to $259,900. There are eight detached units and eight with common walls.

Each unit in the gated community has a private rear yard, a two-car garage with a door opener and direct home access, fire alarm system and fire sprinklers in the living rooms and laundry rooms in the main living areas of some plans. The monthly association fee is $85 and first move-ins are scheduled June 15.

A furnished model is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays and by appointment on weekdays at 9154 Burnet Ave., reached from the eastbound Nordhoff Street exit of the San Diego (405) Freeway, east past Sepulveda Boulevard and north on Burnet to the project.

202 Highland Homes

Stone and river rock exteriors are featured on most of the 202 houses in California Sunset, a Kaufman & Broad Home Corp. development opening today in Highland, east of San Bernardino.

Ten three- and four-bedroom single-family houses are available in the first phase, with 1,692 to 2,183 square feet of living area, two or three bathrooms, inside laundry areas and two- or three-car garages. The houses are priced from $149,990 to $174,990.

First move-ins are scheduled for July and August. There is no homeowner association fee. Three furnished models are open daily, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 28241 Cherokee Rose Drive, reached from the northbound Alabama Street exit of the San Bernardino (10) Freeway.

Dana Point Condos

Cape Cod exteriors are featured at HarborWalk, a 78-unit condominium development opening today in Dana Point less than a mile from the Pacific Ocean.

The studio, one- and two-bedroom one-level units range in size from 490 to 900 square feet and are priced from $89,900 to $135,900. Upper-level units have vaulted ceilings and most plans have interior laundry areas. The developer is CAPO Beach Partners, a joint venture of Somerset Development Co., Costa Mesa, and Terry Whitworth.

The monthly association dues of $97 pay for common-area maintenance, including a swimming pool. Move-ins are scheduled for August.

The sales center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and noon to 6 p.m. daily, except Wednesdays, at 34264 1/2 Camino Capistrano, reached from the Beach Cities/Pacific Coast Highway exit of the San Diego (5) Freeway.
