Mortgage Rates Fall: Fixed-rate home mortgages averaged 10.37%, down from 10.54% last week, according to a national survey by the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. On one-year adjustable-rate mortgages, lenders were asking an average initial rate of 8.56%, down from 8.63% the week before.
