Compaq Introduces Two Desktops: Compaq Computer Corp. unveiled two new computers that the Houston-based personal computer manufacturer called the smallest and least expensive desktops it has ever produced. Shipments of the Deskpro 286N, with a suggested retail price of from $1,699 to $2,599, and the Deskpro 386N, at from $2,299 to $3,199, began last Thursday. The machines are aimed at serving the office network environment, a Compaq official said.
