The Atlanta Hawks are expected to announce today that Bob Weiss, who was fired as coach of the San Antonio Spurs after the 1987-88 season, is their new coach.
The other finalist for the job, Willis Reed, took himself out of the running after being promoted to senior vice president by the New Jersey Nets.
