Henry W. Poett III has been named executive vice president of operations and chief operating officer of Vestro Foods Inc., a Newport Beach specialty food company. He has served as a director of Vestro since 1987. Previously, Poett was chief executive of Wilsey Foods Inc., a packager, marketer and distributor of food products. In addition, Robert Cresci was elected a company director to serve until the next annual meeting. Cresci is a vice president and co-manager of the convertible securities group of Alliance Capital Management. The company recently purchased $4 million of Vestro’s 10% convertible exchangeable preferred stock.
