The Sensitive Issue of Breslin’s Remarks

Every time a small incident such as Jimmy Breslin’s derogatory remarks about Ji-Yeon Yuh are made into an issue, there is a deepening of hatred between whites and minorities (“Rage and Outrage,” May 11).
If women and minorities are going to get involved in running the world, they need to be a little less sensitive.
If we truly want equality, we must stop illuminating racial differences by magnifying isolated incidents such as differences of opinion between co-workers.
