Girard Discloses Plans: Girard Partners, the investment group pursuing Pic ‘N’ Save, announced steps it would take to sell the retail chain if it gains control of the company’s board. Girard said it would seek advice on the sale from an advisory committee of stockholders. The group also said it would use one or more “independent” investment bankers to solicit bids and review any deal. Pic ‘N’ Save called Girard’s proposals “woefully inadequate to insure a full and fair auction process.”
