Papp Reorganization: Joseph Papp has announced major changes in the artistic structure of the New York Shakespeare Festival that he created 35 years ago. JoAnne Akalaitis has been named as Papp’s artistic associate with basic decision-making autonomy. Papp will also turn over the three smaller theaters in the multitheater Greenwich Village complex to three directors and playwrights to present three plays of their own choosing in the coming season. The directors are George C. Wolfe, David Greenspan and Michael Greif.
