Dealing With the Tragedy of No-Care Moms, No-Hope Babies

Share

The Times and Freedman are badly in need of a basic biology lesson--babies don’t get born, nor do women get pregnant, without an important third factor in this equation--men! It’s always amazing how effortlessly men can ignore their contribution to the tragedy of sick babies and abandoned “no-care” women.

It must be easy for men to pass judgment on alcoholic and drug-addicted women brazenly giving birth to pathetic creatures. It must be harder to see that for every no-care mother there is a no-care father.

Solution: When a man fathers a child, he supports it and pays for its care. No job? The government (or other agency) finds him one. He won’t take it? He’s put in jail and given a job there. If enough men are hit hard enough where it hurts (their wallets), maybe they will learn to “just say no” to unprotected sex, thus eliminating no-care mothers and no-hope babies.
