Poindexter’s five felony convictions arising out of the Iran-Contra affair, ruling that the national security adviser to former President Ronald Reagan had presented a weak defense against strong evidence. “A review of this evidence reveals that proof of defendant’s guilt of the charges is compelling,” U.S. District Judge Harold H.
