SIDELINES : U.S. Stars Lead Italian Victory

Scavolini Pesaro, paced by former NBA players Darren Daye and Darwin Cook, won its second Italian basketball league title in three years.

Scavolini beat Ranger Varese 113-94 Tuesday night to wrap up the best-of-5 finals 3-1.

Cook, who played for New Jersey and San Antonio, scored 31 points. Daye, formerly of Chicago and Boston, added 24.

The victory put Scavolini in next season’s European Champions Cup.
