Alfred J. Wrobel, professor of history at El Camino College since 1956, has received a 1990 Faculty Excellence Award from the Southern California Consortium for Community College Television. He has taught television courses on American history through the consortium for 20 years. The courses are seen on public television and commercial channels and provide regular college credits. Wrobel was instrumental in designing the history courses, which are carried nationwide as well as in California.
