NEWPORT BEACH : Walk Will Mark Library Anniversary

In honor of the Newport Beach Library’s 70th anniversary, officials are sponsoring a celebration walk Sunday. Walkers will step off from the Newport Center branch, 856 San Clemente Drive, at 11 a.m. and walk to the site of the new library at Avocado Avenue and Coast Highway, a 2.2-mile route.

Post-walk festivities include cake and a concert by the Orange County Community Orchestra. Registration for the walk is $5, which includes a T-shirt. For more information, contact library officials at (714) 644-3177.
