After running with Richard Kimble for four years’ worth of episodes and sweating through hundreds of close calls, here’s the payoff: “The Judgment,” the two-hour finale of “The Fugitive” (Friday at 1 p.m. on A&E;).

Kimble finally catches up to that one-armed man, the one who really did kill his wife (he told you, Lt. Gerard).

But before Kimble’s exciting face-to-face with murderer Fred Johnson (where Gerard saves the day), there are plenty of plot twists to keep you guessing just who did kill Helen Kimble.

“The Judgment” was originally shown in two parts in August, 1967. The final part set a viewing record for a regular series that was unbroken until 13 years later when “Dallas” revealed who shot J.R.

Fortunately for fans, Kimble’s freedom won’t last long: “The Fugitive” will begin running once more, when A&E; starts showing the series again next week, Monday through Friday at noon.

Also losing his freedom is “The Prisoner.” CBS starts a fresh run of the series this week with the first episode, “Arrival” (Friday at 12:30 a.m.)
