Queen of Ballet: Her Majesty Queen Margrethe of Denmark is designing sets and costumes for the new Royal Danish Ballet production of August Bournonville’s “A Folk Tale,” scheduled to premiere in the Royal Theatre, Copenhagen, in April. It is the first time that she has designed a production for the Royal Theatre. The 1854 classic ballet will be restaged by company artistic director Frank Andersen and Anne Marie Vessel, a dancer in the company who is also head of the ballet school.
