NATION : Marcos Trial to Resume June 12
NEW YORK — The racketeering trial of former Philippines First Lady Imelda Marcos, who was hospitalized after collapsing in court last week, was rescheduled today to resume June 12.
Marcos was released from New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center on Sunday after being treated for a stomach ailment. She was taken to the hospital Thursday after coughing up blood and collapsing in the courtroom.
Doctors diagnosed her condition as “erosive gastritis,” an acid-related condition unrelated to Marcos’s high blood pressure, which has twice forced postponement of the trial.
