Pacific Publishing to Be Acquired: Pacifica Publishing Corp., the Laguna Beach-based a magazine and trade show producer, said that it had completed a previously announced agreement to be acquired by Gralla Publications of New York. Terms of the deal, which calls for Pacifica’s management to stay with the company, were not disclosed. Pacifica, based in Laguna Beach, publishes Action Sports Retailer and Outdoor Retailer and is a leading producer of surfwear trade shows. Analysts have estimated the value of the firm at $6 million to $10 million. Gralla publishes 21 trade magazines and operates 23 trade shows.
