The luckiest Lotto outlet in California sold its fourth six-of-six jackpot ticket this week, a winner worth $4.1 million from Wednesday night’s drawing.

State lottery officials said the winner hadn’t yet identified himself or herself to claim the prize today. But they confirmed that the winning ticket had been sold by Will’s Fargo Country Store in Baker, a tiny Mojave Desert town (population 650) on Interstate 15, the main highway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Store manager Steve Zwerner said this is the fourth jackpot ticket he has sold since he installed his first “Lotto 6-49” terminal 26 months ago. The earlier jackpot tickets sold at his store won $12.6 million in 1988, $6.2 million in 1989 and $4.9 million earlier this week.

Zwerner said his customers have also bought seven tickets with five winning numbers plus the bonus, worth another $2 million, including a $117,000 winner last Saturday, and 169 five of six winners for another $550,000.

Wednesday’s drawing also produced five tickets with five numbers plus the bonus number, each winning $227,576. They were sold in Bakersfield, Lompoc, Madera, Sacramento and Upland.
