Lucero Wins Speedway Scratch Main Event

Steve Lucero of Riverside won the scratch main event Friday in speedway motorcycle racing at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
Kelly Moran of Apple Valley was second, Charles Ermolenko of Cypress third and Alan Christian of Murrieta fourth.
Moran won the eight-lap handicap main event. Lucero was second, Mike Faria of Riverside third, Shawn McConell of Brea fourth and Christian fifth.
Mark Faul of Orange won the second division main and Greg Appelman of Downey won the third division main.
