Software Toolworks Plans Sale of Common Stock

Software Toolworks, a Chatsworth maker of software for personal computers and the Nintendo home-video system, said it plans the sale of an additional 3.85 million shares of common stock.

The offering will include 2 million shares sold by the company, and 1.85 million shares sold by certain existing stockholders, including chairman Leslie Crane. Software Toolworks’ stock closed Friday at $21.25 a share in over-the-counter trading; at that price the offering would be valued at $81.8 million.
