Parker Expanding: On the clean-air front, Parker Automotive Corp., the Costa Mesa company that produces a system for flushing carbon and other pollutants from internal combustion engine fuel systems, has signed exclusive agreements with distributors in five more European nations--Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark and Greece.
Parker, which manufactures its products in Fountain Valley, now has distribution agreements with major importers in nearly 60 countries.
The company says that tests of its patented system, which flushes and cleans fuel systems with chemical products, have shown that it can cut emissions by as much as 95% while increasing fuel economy and engine performance.
The latest trade pacts increase Parker’s annual sales, now $20 million a year, to about $24 million, according to Michael E. Parker, president of the publicly traded firm.
