Michael F. Leone, 85, retired federal immigration judge who ordered the deportation of “Lucky” Luciano and other East Coast organized crime figures in 1952-53. Educated at Rutgers University and Fordham University School of Law, the Italian-American judge sat in Los Angeles but was transferred to the New York court for the Luciano hearing to avoid any claims of discrimination against Italian-Americans.
