Norman M. Baker has been named vice president for human resources for Mazda Motor of America Inc. He will direct compensation, benefits, employee relations and employee development programs for the Irvine headquarters and five regional offices. Baker was formerly national manager, human resources, for Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America Inc. He has also held positions with Southern California Edison and Fluor Corp.
