That Roar Is for Rohrabacher

Share

Congratulations to Congressman Dana Rohrabacher on his victory in suppressing freedom of expression and the implementation of government controls in the areas of creative thought and display.

Our country is in dire need of men like him who fight for the ideals that are so rapidly deteriorating in the Communist countries. I find it amusing how the philosophies of the great powers shift. I wonder what the leaders of the Soviet Republic will do when they find that these freedoms that their people so desperately cry for are the very things that threaten to bring ruination to our own failing system.

It is good that he has absolutely no artistic sensitivity; it is through his single-minded, simplistic mentality that he can achieve this great thing that will cement the government’s grip on a nation of people who cannot, or should not, be allowed to think for themselves.

I realize that the arts issue is but a small steppingstone on the path to total control, but it is an important foundation stone, one on which a truly great government can be built.

His great brothers in arms, though deceased, would no doubt be respectfully appreciative of the fervor with which he throws himself onto an issue that would seem of such little consequence when compared to the insurmountable problems this country faces.

Perhaps he may never reach the global fame that Hitler and Stalin achieved, but his fight is no less important. I wish that I myself could fight with him, but it is not to be. My mind is too cluttered with irrelevancies such as democracy and the freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights.
