At least 14 people were killed and 33 wounded in the cocaine capital of Medellin, Colombia, when a car bomb exploded near a police station just as the city’s new police chief was being sworn in, authorities said. No one claimed responsibility for the blast, but authorities blamed the Medellin drug traffickers, who have been waging a terror campaign. The bomb left a large crater and heavily damaged vehicles and buildings nearby.
