Those ‘Junior E Men’ Should Stay on Patrol

Kathleen Doheny’s article “Junior E Men on Patrol” (June 22) was making light of an issue that concerns us all. Her seemingly blase attitude toward conservation efforts is most disturbing.

The one aspect of children’s concern about the environment she didn’t touch on was their right to grow up and have their children grow up in a safe and clean environment. Children should be concerned with the environment’s well being, more so than any other segment of the population, because they’re the ones who will have to live with our mistakes.
