Idea for ‘Pretty Woman’: A copyright infringement suit was filed against Touchstone Pictures, Disney Studios and six producers, directors and a writer of the hit film “Pretty Woman.” The U.S. District Court case was filed in Los Angeles by Ben-Hur Sepehr, who claims that in late 1983, he registered a screenplay, “Temporary Arrangement,” about a romantic relationship between an attractive prostitute and a wealthy businessman. The suit seeks more than $100 million, including punitives, because Sepehr allegedly offered the screenplay to Disney Studios and “Pretty Woman” ’s director between 1983 and 1989.
