Mortgage Rates Fall Slightly: Fixed-rate home mortgages averaged 10.15% last week, down from 10.16% the week before, the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. reported. On one-year adjustable-rate mortgages, lenders were asking an average initial rate of 8.45% last week, down from 8.50% the week before. The rates do not include add-on fees known as points.
