Beatles Win Temporary Order: Apple Corp., the Beatles’ London-based company, won a victory Tuesday when a federal judge ordered California Gold Record Co. of Tustin to stop selling gold-plated records by the legendary group until the trial of a suit filed in U.S. District Court by Apple, claiming California Gold violated the group members’ right of publicity and “usurped” Apple’s exclusive rights to license the Beatles’ trade-names and likenesses.
