Waterford Strike Over: About 2,300 workers ended a 14-week strike at Waterford Wedgwood Group PLC’s crystal-making operations in Ireland, the company said. The plant shut down April 5 when workers rejected a cost-cutting plan. The firm has suffered losses in the past three years, partly because of a weaker dollar and its dependence on the U.S. market. Workers have accepted some cost cuts, and management and the unions have agreed to refer issues still in dispute to binding arbitration.
