Sierra Madre : City Panel Members Sought
Volunteers are needed to serve on four committees advising the City Council on waste management, beautification of Sierra Madre Boulevard, redevelopment and a new parking committee, Mayor George Maurer announced.
Formation of the five-member parking committee, proposed by Councilman Andrew R. Buchan, was approved Tuesday. The committee, which will study parking limits in the Central Business District, will include at least one police officer or law enforcement administrator.
Members of the citizens committees will meet periodically and make recommendations to the council as representatives of the community. Residents interested in serving on a committee may pick up applications at City Hall, 232 W. Sierra Madre Blvd.
