Japan Wholesale Prices Off 2nd Month in Row

Reflecting the stable value of the yen, Japan’s wholesale prices in June declined a modest 0.1% from May, marking the second straight month-to-month fall, the Bank of Japan reported today.

The bank said the June prices were up 0.9% over a year ago. Bank representatives said the basic trend of wholesale prices remained generally stable.
