COVERUP: Orange City Hall is preparing a Mother’s Day gift for Carolyn Cavecche, who will be glad to have it, belated or no. . . . Last Mother’s Day, the mother of two surveyed magazine racks in Orange, saw sexually explicit magazines plainly displayed and marched to City Hall to demand action. . . . The result: The city attorney is drafting an ordinance that will require “blinders” over such magazine covers, and Councilman Gene Beyer foresees “no opposition at all.” At least five other cities in the county have such ordinances.
