Schwartz Rolls to Fair Derby Speedway Title

Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa won the four-lap Fair Derby main event Friday in front of 9,100 in the weekly speedway motorcycle program at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano was second, Mike Faria of Riverside third and Lance King of Huntington Beach fourth.

Alan Christian of Murrieta won the four-lap consolation main event. Steve Lucero of Riverside was second, Louis Kossuth of Brea third and Josh Larsen of Costa Mesa fourth.

The speedway program will resume its regular schedule Friday, July 27. The regular speedway event next week will be canceled because of the Orange County Fair rodeo.
