Shooting in Chicago. “Harlem Nights’ ” Lila Rochon and “Lethal Weapon 2’s” Traci Wolfe top-line this youthful cast that comically demonstrates boy/girl relationships in the Windy City. Night Tour (Staircase Films). Shooting in L.A. Rudy Protrudi and Jacqui Lynn, two of L.A.’s more obscure recording artists, star in this dark-hued comedy. The aforementioned portray blood-sucking tour directors who guide a couple of unsuspecting yuppies on a no-frills excursion through Santa Barbara. Producer Lynn Roberts. Director/screenwriter Michael D. Nye. Also stars Kathleen Hanna and Chris Davis.

Puppetmaster II (Full Moon Ent.). Shooting in L.A. This low-budget successor boasts yet a new horror puppet, “The Torch,” as it joins forces with the malevolent quintet of nasty inanimates of the first film. Executive producer Charles Band. Subhumanoid Meltdown: Class of Nuke ‘Em High Part II (Troma). Shooting in L.A. The setting is the fictitious (thank heavens!) Tromaville Institute of Technology, the only junior college that permits students to work intimately with nuclear power. Before long there are confrontations with giant rodents, pupils sleeping with experiments gone awry and even a few kids summarily melting. Producers Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz.
