Coca-Cola Co.: The Atlanta-based soft-drink maker said second-quarter profit rose 18.6% from a year ago to $409.9 million. Revenue increased 17.5% to $2.74 billion. The company cited market share gains in its U.S. bottle and can business, strong international sales and cost-containment measures for the improved performance.
