United Telecommunications Inc.: The telephone company, which owns 80.1% of US Sprint, reported a 55% drop in second-quarter earnings to $41 million, while revenue rose 11% to $2.07 billion. The Kansas City, Mo.-based firm blamed the reduced income on continued losses at Sprint.
