Nichols Institute: The San Juan Capistrano medical testing company reported that its net income for the second quarter rose 67%, to nearly $2 million from $1.2 million for the quarter in 1989. Revenue was up 34%, to $43.6 million from $32.5 million. Net income for the first half of 1990 was $3.7 million, 76% higher than the $2.1 million posted for the period the year before. Revenue rose 35%, to $84.5 million from $62.7 million.
