Ducommun: The Carson-based aerospace supplier reported a seven-fold increase in net income to $620,000 in the second quarter, while revenue jumped 10.5% to $19.7 million. This year’s earnings were boosted by an extraordinary tax credit, and last year’s earnings were reduced by losses from discontinued operations. But Ducommun Chief Executive Norman A. Barkeley said the company’s strong performance stemmed from a continuing shift to commercial air transport programs from military projects.
