Condos in L.A.’s Rancho Park Area

Beverly Green Plaza, featuring 12 two-bedroom condominiums in a three-story building, opens today in the Rancho Park district of Los Angeles, near Century City and the Hillcrest Country Club.

The one-level units are offered in four plans, all averaging about 1,800 square feet, priced from $430,000-$490,000, according to a spokesman for the builder, Hoang Tai Development Corp.

Features include nine-foot-high ceilings, fireplaces, two private balconies, a den with a wet bar and and kitchens with a breakfast nook or breakfast bar. The monthly association dues are $240 and move-ins are scheduled to begin in late August and early September.

A sales office and one furnished model staffed by Pamela Pang of RE/PROS Brokerage Inc. is open daily, except Tuesdays and Fridays from 1 to 4 p.m. at 9880 Vidor Drive, a block north of Pico Boulevard at Roxbury Drive.

Anaheim Hills Homes

Summit Pointe at The Summit of Anaheim Hills opens today in Anaheim Hills, with 200 large single-family houses planned in the gated community.

The first phase of the development by the Irvine-based Baldwin Co. has 23 four-, five- and six-bedroom houses with in four two-story plans with 3,541 to 4,857 square feet of living area.

Scheduled for February move-ins, houses in the initial increment are on lots up to 3/4 of an acre and are priced from $589,000 to $695,000. Features include four-car garages, interior laundry rooms, upstairs media centers, libraries and maid’s quarters.

Homeowner association dues of about $170 a month cover upkeep of slopes, common areas and a 12-acre private park. Four furnished models are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at Taylor Court at Serrano Avenue, reached from the southbound Weir Canyon Road exit of the Riverside (91) Freeway.

Lancaster Development

El Encanto, a 42-unit single-family development of four- and five-bedroom houses, opens today in Lancaster.

The 10 houses in the first phase are offered in three two-story floor plans with 2,036 to 2,338 square feet, with nine elevations. They are priced from $164,900 to $184,000.

The developer is Harwood Homes/J.P. Eliopulos Enterprises Inc. Move-ins are planned for October.

Features include attached three-car garages with roll-up metal doors, concrete tile roofs, Bose Acoustimass audio systems, vaulted ceilings, raised-panel interior doors and hardwood or ceramic-tiled entries.

Three models are open daily, except Wednesday and Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Avenue K and 12th Street East, reached from the eastbound Avenue K exit of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway.

Carlsbad Project

Mediterranean architecture is featured in Hillgate, a 32-home project by Torrance-based Wesco Development Corp. opening today in Carlsbad about 1 1/2 miles from the Pacific Ocean.

Nine three-, four- and five-bedroom single-family houses are offered in five plans with 2,267 to 2,914 square feet, priced from $349,900 to $429,900. September move-ins are planned.

Offered in nine elevations, the houses feature private courtyards, up to three bathrooms, fireplaces, skylights, volume ceilings and skylights. On-site recreational facilities include a pool, a spa and an outdoor picnic area. The monthly association fee is $190.

The sales office is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 2908 Wintergreen Drive, reached from the eastbound California 78 exit of the San Diego (5) Freeway to the southbound El Camino Real exit.

Homes in Costa Mesa

Calabria Villas, a gated enclave of 12 three-bedroom single-family detached houses on small lots, opens today in Costa Mesa.

The three-bedroom houses by Laguna Hills-based Briggs Development Corp. are offered in two two-story plans with 1,743 to 1,795 square feet, priced from $299,900 to $349,000.

Features include Mediterranean exteriors, two-car garages with direct access; vaulted ceilings in most rooms and wood-burning fireplaces. The monthly association fee is about $49 and August move-ins are planned.

The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at 2524 Orange Ave., near the intersection of Del Mar Avenue, reached from the Newport Boulevard exit of the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway.

Links-Oriented Homes

Mirada on the Green, a golf-course-oriented single-family development with 150 houses, opens today in Moreno Valley.

The 16 three- four- and five-bedroom houses in the initial phase range in size from 2,653 to 3,250 square feet and are priced from $244,000 to $344,000. They have two to three baths.

The builder is Barratt American Inc. and first phase move-ins are expected in November. Mirada on the Green is in the Moreno Valley Ranch planned community, which has a public golf course. Mirada has no association fee.

Four furnished models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 15635 Oliver St., reached from the Moreno Beach Drive exit of the Pomona (60) Freeway.

Gated Development

Cape West, a gated development of 132 single-family houses by JHJ Holdings Inc., opens today in Sepulveda.

The first phase of 30 three- and four-bedroom houses ranges in price from $245,950 to $250,950. The development’s name comes from its Cape Cod-style architecture.

The houses are offered in three floor plans ranging in size from 1,840 to 1,900 square feet, with two-car garages, wood-burning fireplaces, ceramic tile entries, indoor laundry rooms, storage areas and master bedroom suites. Immediate move-ins are available.

A monthly association fee of $82.96 pays for the common area maintenance of the project, located on a private street accessed by a telephone entry gate. The sales office is open from noon to 5 p.m. daily except Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9155 Noble Ave., east of Sepulveda Boulevard between Nordhoff and Devonshire streets, reached from the eastbound Devonshire exit of the San Diego (405) Freeway.

Oceanfront Condos

Pier Colony, a development of 130 oceanfront condominiums by California Resorts/Haseko Associates, opens today in Huntington Beach.

Thirty-five of the loft, one- and two-bedroom units have been sold. The units range in size from 861 to 1,492 square feet and are priced from $190,000 to $610,000. October move-ins are scheduled.

The monthly association fee ranges from $240 to $280 and covers upkeep of a pool, spa, clubhouse and secured parking.

Four furnished models are open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at 200 Pacific Coast Highway, reached from the southbound Beach Boulevard exit of the San Diego (405) Freeway.

Palmdale Project

One- and two-story plans are featured in Allegro, a 94-unit single-family development by Harwood Homes/Marshall Wengrow Inc. opening today in Palmdale.

The 21 four- and five-bedroom houses are available in three plans, ranging from 1,832 to 2,362 square feet, and nine exterior treatments. Move-ins are planned for October.

All plans have the option of converting one of the extra bedrooms into a master suite retreat. Other conversions are possible with bedrooms becoming dens, libraries, media rooms or offices. Standard features include Bose Acoustimass sound systems, tile roofs and three-car garages with segmented metal doors.

Three models are open daily, except Wednesday and Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Avenue R-8 and 57th Street East, reached from the eastbound Avenue S exit of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway to 47th Street East and north on that street to R-8.
