From America With Love, Comrade: In the spirit of glasnost , Movies USA, the free magazine you get in theater lobbies, will become the first film magazine to be distributed in the Soviet Union. Magazine executives say they plan to distribute more than 10,000 copies of the September issue in five Leningrad theaters, as four independent video stores and a number of specialty retail outlets. They added that the copies will be sold “at a nominal, very low ruble cost” to defray the cost of overseas transportation. The September issue will be distributed only in English.
