Grumman Corp.: The Bethpage, N.Y., aerospace and electronics concern reported that second-quarter net income rose 37%, to $26.7 million, compared to the year-ago quarter. Sales increased 19% to $1.05 billion. The company said the results were boosted by its F-14D aircraft program and a strong performance in its unit that makes Postal Service trucks.
