No ‘Dark Side’ to Wicca

In a recent news article you reported the death of a young man in Chatsworth Park. While I was pleased to see that some attempt was made to inform people about the true nature of Wicca, I take exception to the reference to the “dark side of that,” as you quoted Detective Garcia as saying.
I have been a witch and a follower of Wicca since early childhood. I have met hundreds of other Wiccans and have yet to run across this “dark side.” This evil depiction of Wicca is in fact an invention of other, non-Wiccan sources, the Christian churches being the leader.
While you attempted to be fair in your depiction of our religion, there is still far to go. Please keep trying.
