Share

Whittier College’s Wardman Library has been selected as one of 100 U.S. test sites to participate in the 1990 Economic Bulletin Board pilot project.

The program, sponsored by the Government Printing Office, the Commerce Department and the General Accounting Office, was established in 1985 to provide on-line access to numerical and textual data published by the Commerce Department and other sources, including the Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Federal Reserve Board and the U.S. Treasury Department.

The aim is to study public response to the provision of direct computerized access to government information. More than 400 files are available, including economic and employment statistics, the consumer price index, the gross national product and Daily Trade Opportunities for Exporters.
